This jelly was inspired by the events that took place in Diana Gabaldon's first novel, "Outlander".According to cocktail historian David Wondrich, the Rusty Nail made its first appearance in 1937, and it wasn’t long before it became a classic. Traditionally made with blended  scotch whisky and Drambuie scotch, a liqueur from a proprietary recipe of honey and spices with a scotch base that adds a spiced sweetness that should flavour the whisky without overpowering it, the Rusty Nail is favorite among scotch drinkers.
